Anatomy: The Great Dane is a large, long-legged dog that is about 30 to 32 inches (76-81 cm) tall at the shoulders; it weighs about 100 to 120 pounds (45-55 kg). This lean dog has long thighs, muscular legs, a strong, deep chest, a flat skull, and a wide, blunt nose The tail is long and tapers to a point. The short, dense coat comes in many colors, including brown, black, blue-black, and harlequin (white with black patches).
