Amphora from Ancient Greece
This ancient Greek amphora dates from about 540 B.C. and is attributed to Exekias. This lidded terracotta Attic-ware piece pictures people and horses; it is reddish brown with black, brown, and white decorations.

An amphora (meaning "two-handled carrier" in Greek) is a pottery container used to store liquids (like oil or wine); amphorae have two handles, usually located towards the top of the pot. Terracotta is a reddish-colored clay.
