  • Geranosaurus - a heterodontosaurid ornithischian (bipedal herbivore) with long, sharp canine teeth, from South Africa, 208-194 mya.
  • Heterodontosaurus - "different-tooth-lizard", a hetodontosaurid ornithischian (a plant-eater), 208-200 million years old. From South Africa.
  • Lanasaurus - a small ornithopod (plant-eater), from South Africa, 208-200 mya.
  • Lesothosaurus - "Lizard from Lesotho, South Africa," a 3-foot long, bipedal plant-eater. A very primitive ornithopod from the late Triassic and early Jurassic, 208-200 million years ago.
  • Lycorhinus ("wolf snout") - a small heterodontosaurid ornithischian (bipedal herbivore) with long, sharp canine teeth, from South Africa, 208-200 mya.
  • Massospondylus - a prosauropod (early, 5-fingered, lightly-built plant eater), 20 ft (6 m) long, from South Africa and Arizona, USA, 208-194 mya.
  • Plesiosaurus - A marine reptile (a plesiosaur not a dinosaur) 10-13 ft (3-4 m) long. It had a long neck, flippers, sharp teeth, and a short tail. Late Triassic to Jurassic. Europe, North Africa, and Asia.

  • Zizhongosaurus - a plant-eater from China, a primitive sauropod (a vulcanodontid small) 30 ft (9 m) long, 208-088 mya.

  • Rhoetosaurus - a cetiosaurid sauropod (long-necked plant-eater) 40 ft (11.5 m) long, from Queensland Australia, 181-175 mya.

  • Ohmdenosaurus- An early, poorly-known sauropod (a long-necked, long-tailed plant-eater) 13 feet (4 m) long from Germany, 191 mya.
  • Plesiosaurus - A marine reptile (a plesiosaur not a dinosaur) 10-13 ft (3-4 m) long. It had a long neck, flippers, sharp teeth, and a short tail. Late Triassic to Jurassic. Europe, North Africa, and Asia.
  • Sarcosaurus- An early, poorly-known theropod (a bipedal meat-eater) 12 feet (3.5 m) long from England, 206-200 mya.
  • Scelidosaurus - A small, scelidosaurid ornithischian (armored, quadrupedal, plant-eater) from England, 208-200 mya. One of the first dinosaurs named (by Owen).

  • Barapasaurus- An early sauropod (a long-necked, long-tailed plant-eater) 60 feet (20 m) long from India, 208-188 mya.
  • Dandakosaurus- A large theropod (bipedal meat-eater) from Andrah Pradesh, India, 213-188 mya.
  • Kotasaurus- A large sauropod (a long-necked, long-tailed plant-eater) from India, 208-188 mya.
North America
  • Ammosaurus- a plateosaurid (a prosauropod, a plant-eater) 15 feet (4 m) long from USA, 198-187 mya.
  • Anchisaurus - a primitive prosauropod 8 feet (3 m) long from Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Nova Scotia 200-188 mya.
  • Dilophosaurus - "double-crested lizard," a 20-foot long, bipedal carnivore. A primitive theropod from the late Triassic to the early Jurassic, 208-194 million years ago. From Arizona, USA.
