These two-page print-outs make word wheels; each one consists of a base page together with a wheel that spins around (they are connected by a metal brad). When you spin the wheel, words are formed or displayed. Heavy paper (like cardstock) makes better wheels.

Fall Word Wheel

Make an autumn word wheel using this 2-page print-out; it consists of a base page together with a wheel that spins around. When you spin the wheel, eight fall-related words are formed, one at a time: apple, acorn, haystack, leaf, scarecrow, cobweb, squash, and rake. The student then writes down the word wheel words and other autumn words.
