WHEN IT LIVED: Middle Cretaceous period, about 99-93 million years ago
WHERE IT LIVED: Fossils have been found in Egypt, Africa.
FOSSILS: Only a few fossilized bones were found, and they were destroyed in Munich, Germany, during World War 2 (in 1944).

  • Kingdom Animalia (animals)
  • Phylum Chordata (having a hollow nerve chord ending in a brain)
  • Class Archosauria (diapsids with socket-set teeth, etc.)
  • Order Saurischia - lizard-hipped dinosaurs

INTERESTING
FACTS:
Aegyptosaurus was an enormous plant-eating dinosaur that had a long neck, a long tail, and a small head. Its few known fossils were destroyed over half a century ago.
