Luiseño Basket
This is an American Indian basket featuring a large flower motif. It was constructed from coiled juncus, sumac and deer grass. This basket was made by a Luiseño woman from the La Jolla Indian Reservation (California) in the 1890s. This basket was featured on a US postage stamp issued on August 21, 2004.
