Animal Report Graphic Organizers

Many graphic organizers are useful to help prepare for writing a report on animals. Before writing, the student should think about and list the major topics that will be researched and covered in the report --using a the graphic organizer lets the student list the traits (and perhaps come up with others) in a simple visual way. Then during the research, the chart can be filled in, and more categories may be discovered and added.

Some of the topics that should be researched in an animal report include the animal's anatomy, habitat and range, diet, enemies, lifespan, scientific name (and classification), its endangered status, method of reproduction (or life cycle), and other interesting facts.
