"It's nothing we did. If you're in a computer lab, someone on the computer you're using may have pre-set the computer forms to remember who it was (presumably someone called Theodora). JC£

I don't know anyone called "Theodora," and I never have.

Strange.
from da masta, age ?, ?, ?; March 27, 2002

JC, why do I get "Theodora" when I click the text box under the "Name (only give your first name and last initial" thing?

My name is not Theodora, and I am a boy. Is it there just to help people who can't think of a name?

And Tim, I think we need to bear in mind that Joe Bob has had some very nasty experiences with Hardcore Rex Fans (HRF I'll call 'em) here, and as Honkie was such a passionate promoter of T-Rex, Joe Bob probably feels some hostility towards him. I think I do too, he is very clever and could be very manipulative if he wanted to, although I'm not neccessarily saying that he is.

But I think that Tim has a very valid point, compare him to, say... well, I think I won't mention names, but compared to SOME PEOPLE he's really really nice.

After all, Honkie Tong is an HRF.

Maybe we need to have a look at the situation a little before all going "now that wasn't very nice and friendly, was it?"

"Except for Honkie, yeah."

Honkie may have been a blind follower of T-Rex, often backing up T-Rex and putting down other animals with "new discoveries" and such,
which I agree could be very annoying, but I have two points you may want to consider:

1) Honkie Tong never viciously turned on people. He may have been a master of propaganda(quite possible, but he would have no use for that now), or just polite, but he was the kind of person who held their cool, and kept out of trouble. Lets face it, he never insulted any people here, (although the same could not be said for the poor dromaesaurids,) and and tried to be nice, most of the time. Honkie can not be compared to the violent Rex fans who waged war on anyone who disagreed with them.

2) He is very clever. He knows loads, and it would be great to have him back, even if it's just for his good knowledge of tyrannosaurids.
from da masta, age ?, ?, ?; March 25, 2002

Why not Honkie? He wasn't nearly as bad as some of the other Hard-core T-rex fans. It not really nice to say that.
from Tim M., age ?, ?, ?; March 25, 2002

Except for Honkie, yeah.
from Joe Bob B., age 11, Menlo Park, ?, ?; March 24, 2002

"If we just had Brad, Diloph, and Honkie Tong, and T-Master came more regularly, that would already be a very vast improvement. (Sorry to site veterans who I did not mention but the list would go on forever if I mentioned them all!)"

Agreed. It would be great to have them back again.
from Tim M., age ?, ?, ?; March 22, 2002

"Thanks for the input. I'm trying to get more people involved in conversations."

What we need is more people!!!!

Sorry for sounding like a stereotypic old fogey but in the good old days there where so many messages that I had trouble answering them all and got accused of spamming the forum by Pro Rex Fans who saw me as a threat!

If we just had Brad, Diloph, and Honkie Tong, and T-Master came more regularly, that would already be a very vast improvement. (Sorry to site veterans who I did not mention but the list would go on forever if I mentioned them all!)

And then the more the merrier!

I would not be disappointed to see anyone back, never, but especially now!

I reckon that there is not a "generally accepted view" for the saurischia because there are so many different views and all book authors and paleontologists think differently!
from da masta, age ?, ?, You all know already!, ; March 20, 2002

O.K., first clue:
This family comprises of some of the fastest, if not the fastest dinosaurs (this should give it away!).

"Give them a hint or clue if they don't get it after this. Not too soon, though, I'd say."

Thanks for the input. I'm trying to get more people involved in conversations.

"LAST CALL! Can anybody besides Da masta answer this?
Which family is the most closely related to the Troodontidae?"

Hmm... there haven't been any posts here for 8 days.

I'll transfer my trivia question here:

LAST CALL! Can anybody besides Da masta answer this?
Which family is the most closely related to the Troodontidae?

"I'm lucky. I get two days off from school. 4 day weekend! Plenty of time to think up a story. As soon as you post more of your story, I'll get to work on mine."

I've got two days off too because I'm ill. Sore throat.

However I haven't done stuff on my story for a while now because I couldn't really be asked. I need to think about it too much. What scenes to have, what not to have, where to have it, who to have in it, the dialogue, I want to have quite a lot of that in my story yet I'm not good at writing it, so much stuff. At first it'll just be the FBI finding really strange clues at the "killing ground" and it'll follow John around a little so by the end of the next chapter, which should also be by far the longest, you'll know a little about the people who are planning the infestation of a whole city to destroy DWF because all the important DWF people are there.

There's also going to be (hopefully,) a creature that is mainly human and tyrannosaurid DNA spliced together, with teratoids and stuff like that in. It's based on a Tyranid Hive Tyrant from Warhammer 40K and can shoot it's stomach juices with a biorifle that is part of it's own body like an arm or a leg.

You should post more often. We barely ever here from you. Most of the posts are Da masta's and mine.

"You should post more of your story."

Yeah, I know. It's raining the second most unpleasant thing it CAN rain, homework. I'll probably only manage to do more and improve and post the five or so pages I have now in my next break in four weeks.

"And BTW Dilophosaurus Culturatus can use it's neck frill like a solar panel to get extra energy so it's sluggish at night, in case anyone happens to get the same idea!"
Sounds interesting. You should post more of your story.

from Tim M., age ?, ?, ?, ?; March 3, 2002

Whoops, I forgot to put my "password" for my post answering Gianna's "what do you mean" and Tom G's "BTW" question!

They're mine.

And everything is posted up now, problem sorted.

"(To your question, which I didn't put online, yes, JC)"

Oh...

Did my fave dino forum post get to you then?

Should I post it again?
from da masta, age ?, ?, ?, ?; March 2, 2002
Yesterday's are all posted. If it isn't there, I didn't get it. JC

"Tim, living near the San Andreas faultline must be wicked!"
It's fun knowing your living near one of the most famous Geological formations in the world. I am no more than a mile from the fault right here in my living room. San Andreas runs through the Santa Cruz moinatains, and I'm in the foothills. But, like when you standing at the foot of a highly active volcano, you are a bit unerved. Especially when you know the next Loma Prieta size Earthquake will happen anytime in the next 30 years. But knowing how to survive an Earthquake is a way of life in places like these.
