These two-page print-outs make word wheels; each one consists of a base page together with a wheel that spins around (they are connected by a metal brad). When you spin the wheel, words are formed or displayed. Heavy paper (like cardstock) makes better wheels.

Make a wheel about 8 common chemical elements using this 2-page print-out; it consists of a base page together with a wheel that spins around. When you spin the wheel, 8 elements appear, including hydrogen, helium, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, neon, sodium, and silicon. The student then writes down the 8 elements in order of atomic number.
