The Little Explorers dictionary is a true treasure for anyone who has kids or works with them!!!! I teach fourth grade and have found interesting, child-friendly links to use to enhance my curriculum. I took my students to the dictionary today with a specific lesson in mind, but they were having such a great time exploring, I just let them go to read and enjoy. It was highly motivating for them, as they were having fun and not realizing they were actually doing RESEARCH!!! What a great way as well for the kids to learn how to navigate the web!It's nice to have links for the kids that I know have already been reviewed to make sure they are appropriate- one less thing to worry about!! We will continue to use this site for lessons and for research on projects. Thanks!!!!

I love this page about dinosaurs, its a great learning experience. I am 6 years old and I am in Primary at R.B.Dickey School in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada. I think that dinosaurs were killed by volcanos and the lava burnt their skin, and then the land was covered with lava and it got very hot.
