EnchantedLearning.com Complete the Picture #3 This is a simple art activity in which the student starts with a small image (clipped from a magazine) and uses it to make a drawing.

Supplies:

White paper (thicker paper, like card stock, works best) Pictures cut from magazines Scissors Glue Crayons, colored pencils or markers

Cut out a small picture, roughly 2-3 inches wide and tall. Animals, nature scenes, cars, buildings, a portrait of a person, and works of art work well.

Glue the image onto the blank paper, positioning it on the paper near the center, or somewhere else if you like.

Have the student complete the picture, using crayons, markers, or colored pencils on the blank part of the paper. Students have to use logic and their imagination in order to finish the drawing augmenting the original image.
