Hi, in the movie JP3 Paleontologist makes a vocal cord of a raptor and it makes a sound of what a raptor sounded like. Candocters do this in these days to see what dinosuars sounded
like?

MIKE: Although this has NOT been done (yet) for theropods, it has been done for the herbivorous dinosaur Parasaurolophus. On two separate occasions, a tube was built to the same dimensions as the crest. Sound was passed through it and recorded. (You can hear the sound at a web site. (Go to
www.google.com and type in the words PARASAUROLOPHUS SOUND in
the search box.) This is a somewhat accurate recreation of the sound but their tube did not contain all the soft tissues that would be present in the real dinosaur.
