This coloring page is based on Vincent van Gogh’s The Church in Auvers-sur-Oise, View from the Chevet, which he painted in June 1890. Near the end of his life van Gogh lived right outside Paris, in Auvers-sur-Oise, which was where he created 70 paintings in just a few months—including this one of the local church.
This work is typical of van Gogh’s post-impressionist style, which focused less on realism than on a floaty, whimsical take of the subject.
