Donald Trump (June 14, 1946 - ) is both the 45th and 47th President of the United States of America. He is the second President in history to have two non-consecutive terms in office. Trump’s first term started on January 20, 2017; although he then lost a bid for re-election in 2020, he had a remarkable comeback four years later, decisively winning the Presidency again in 2024, with his second term starting on January 20, 2025. He ran as a Republican in both elections. Previously known as a business tycoon and reality TV star, Trump’s celebrity translated to politics in 2016 when he successfully ran for President, winning elective office for the first time.
