In this printout, match each acronym/initialism to what it stands for.
Acronyms and initialisms are both abbreviations. An acronym is pronounced like a single word — for example, NASA. An initialism is pronounced by spelling out the individual letters — for example, USA. (Some abbreviations, such as ASAP, can be pronounced either as an acronym or as an initialism.)
The acronyms/initialisms in the worksheet are: USA, DC, NY, ET, UFO, TLC, HMO, RIP, VIP, VP, POTUS, ASAP, PB&J, BLT, and OJ.
