Poisonous animals have a toxin in their body (or in some parts of their body) which may kill or sicken an animal that eats it, bites it or even licks it.
Poisonous animals are different from venomous animals. Venomous animals have a toxin that they deliver to predators, using specialized organs, like stingers or hollow fangs.
