This scary black cat hat (or Halloween decoration) is easily made from construction paper.

Estimated Time: 30 minutes
Supplies Needed:
  • 2 pieces of black construction paper (one large, one regular size) [If you only have regular-size paper, you can use these black cats as decorations, but they will be too small to wear. You can also use brown paper bags to make the hat, and color them using black tempera paint.]
  • Small scraps of yellow, pink, white, and/or orange construction paper (for the cat's eyes, nose, whiskers, and mouth)
  • A pencil or white crayon
  • Scissors
  • Black crayon or marker
  • Stapler
  • Glue
