K-1 Mammals Quiz
A scavenger hunt quiz using the Little Explorers online Picture Dictionary.
Make a mammal word wheel using this 2-page print-out; it consists of a base page together with a wheel that spins around. When you spin the wheel, 12 mammals appear one at a time: bat, zebra, jaguar, duck-billed platypus, kangaroo, elephant, rabbit, opossum, bear, squirrel, gorilla, and whale. The student then writes down the word wheel mammals -- in alphabetical order.
Draw and Compare Mammals
Draw two mammals and then answer simple questions comparing them, for example, "Which one has longer hair or fur?"
